Pourquoi les drapeaux de Colombie et Équateur se ressemblent-ils ?
Both flags share the same yellow-blue-red horizontal tricolor derived from Gran Colombia, the short-lived republic that included both modern-day Colombia and Ecuador. The only distinguishing feature is that Ecuador's flag includes its national coat of arms centered on the blue stripe, while Colombia's flag has no emblem. At a distance or at small sizes, the flags are virtually identical.
