Por que as bandeiras de Venezuela e Colômbia se parecem?
Both flags share the same Gran Colombia tricolor of yellow, blue, and red. Venezuela's flag has an arc of 8 white stars on the blue stripe (representing the 8 provinces that declared independence), while Colombia's is plain. Venezuela also uses equal-width stripes, whereas Colombia's yellow band takes up the top half. Both trace their design to Francisco de Miranda's flag of Gran Colombia from 1806.
