لماذا يتشابه علم النمسا وعلم لاتفيا؟
Both flags feature a red-white-red horizontal triband pattern. Austria's is one of the oldest national flag designs in the world (dating to 1230), while Latvia's was readopted in 1990 after regaining independence from the Soviet Union. Latvia uses a darker carmine red and has a narrower white stripe. Austria's design is said to have been inspired by a blood-soaked white tunic during a medieval siege.
